ANOTHER TWIN FOR BRYN THOMAS CRANES
Following on from its multi crane deal with Liebherr earlier this year, Bryn Thomas Cranes Ltd has recently taken delivery of a further two new cranes from Liebherr. Both LTM 1040-2.1 mobile cranes will be based at the company’s Manchester depot and have been purchased to service the needs of customers requiring lighter cranes within the Northwest.
The LTM 1040-2.1 is a compact 2-axle crane with both axles driven and steerable ensuring excellent all-terrain capability and manoeuvrability on even the most confined building sites. It has great operational flexibility due to maximum capacities with full and partial ballast.
With a maximum load capacity of 40 tonnes, the LTM 1040-2.1 offers outstanding load carrying performance over the entire operating area. A maximum lifting height of 44 m can be achieved with the 35 m long, continuously variable 4-section telescopic boom, which uses the hydro-mechanical telescoping system to extend to the required length quickly. The telescoping operation can also be performed under load.
Other features include sensitive working by electronic crane control and LICCON2 control with mobile display unit BTT. And with pneumatic disc brakes now fitted as standard on this model, maintenance costs are lower and braking more efficient.
Dylan Thomas, Managing Director, commented: ‘We are very pleased to take delivery of our two brand new 40t Liebherr mobile cranes. We recently bought a new LTM 1040-2 earlier this year and we were so made up with the crane we bought a further two additions of the model to be based in the Northwest Manchester Depot. These new additions will enhance the Company’s capacity to service its loyal client base with the very best brand and crane in its class.’
